Strategic Development Manager

This role supports growth by developing and scaling referral generation programs, engaging with large primary care organizations, and partnering with local field teams to reverse referral decline and improve market share. The Strategic Development Manager works across sales, marketing, and strategy to align efforts and optimize referral pathways for Zimmer Biomet surgical partners. **How You'll Create Impact** + Manage and coach a team of PCP Market Development Representatives within assigned zone to ensure consistent, high-impact PCP engagement activity. + Develop territory-level referral recovery strategies in collaboration with field sales leaders (AVPs, Strategic Sales Directors, and Territory Leaders). + Own regional relationships with large primary care organizations. + Align with marketing to deploy referral tools, event content, and educational resources tailored to primary care audiences. + Establish performance KPIs for field teams and provide weekly/monthly reporting on progress to goal, referral growth, and engagement quality. + Collaborate with Strategic Sales Directors to integrate referral growth initiatives into broader commercial strategies. + Execute market-specific events, PCP dinners, and community education initiatives in partnership with local ambassadors and ZB surgical teams. + Support change management and communication across W2 and independent distributor models to ensure adoption and alignment of PCP referral efforts **What Makes You Stand Out** + Proven ability to lead field-based teams and manage regional business initiatives. + Strong understanding of healthcare systems, referral pathways, and primary care practice models. + Experience working with or calling on IDNs, ACOs, CINs, and large physician groups. + Ability to develop scalable strategies and execute through others. + Strong cross-functional collaboration and influence skills. + Excellent verbal and written communication with experience in developing and delivering executive-level presentations. + Ability to analyze data, set KPIs, and drive performance based on measurable results. + Financial acumen, strategic thinking, and change leadership skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM or field reporting tools preferred. **Your Background** + Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or related field required. + 5+ years in sales, marketing, commercial strategy, or healthcare business development. + Experience in leading regional initiatives or managing market development teams preferred. + Background in orthopedic, primary care, or healthcare referral systems is a plus **Travel Expectations** Up to 50% travel, including regular field travel within assigned zone and occasional national meetings Expected Compensation Range: $91,022 - $136,533 base wtih $65,000 target bonus EOE
