Position Objective: This position will focus on commodity sourcing support for indirect sourcing area including facility and professional service, MRO (maintenance, repair & operation), and tail spend management in the region. As our Strategic Buyer, your insights and strategies will directly impact our operations, and you will play a critical role in fostering relationships with our suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Craft Innovative Strategies: Develop and implement cutting-edge procurement strategies that reduce reliance on single-source suppliers and set us apart in the industry.Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancements within our procurement processes, bringing fresh ideas and best practices to the fore.Oversee Supplier Performance: Take charge of contract implementation and steer supplier interactions to ensure excellence and high performance.Collaborate with Teams: Work hand-in-hand with various business units to fine-tune our scope of work and/or specifications, ensuring we meet and exceed company goals.Market Insight Guru: Leverage your understanding of market dynamics, labor trends, and rates to make data-driven decisions that support our needs.Utilize Advanced Tools: Manage RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and sealed bids to ensure our procurement process is efficient and effective.Resolve Challenges: Address operational, quality, service, supply, and invoicing issues swiftly, ensuring that our suppliers meet our high standards.Measure Success: Use your analytical skills to calculate and report accomplishments, showcasing your impact on the business.Negotiate Like a Pro: Evaluate and select suppliers based on superior quality, service, cost, and capability, ensuring we achieve competitive pricing and significant savings.Build Strong Partnerships: Engage with suppliers to resolve issues proactively and maintain fruitful relationships.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Chemistry, Sciences, Supply Chain, Business, or a related fieldProject Management experienceStrong preference for candidates with at least 5 year’s relevant commodity knowledge and sourcing experienceExperienced with sourcing technologies and methodologies, e.g. e-auction, 6-sigmaProven track record of deliver savings to businessFluent in both English and Japanese languages.What You Bring:

On May 22, 2024, we announced a plan to separate our Electronics and Water businesses in a tax-free manner to its shareholders. On January 15, 2025, we announced that we are targeting November 1, 2025, for the completion of the intended separation of the Electronics business (the “Intended Electronics Separation”)*.
