Strategic Analytics - Associate

As a Strategic Analytics Associate, you'll work with the risk team to generate thoughtful analytics and recommendations to the business concerning strategy development, implementation, operational controls, and performance monitoring.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain periodic analytics to provide management with full insight into emerging trends and the quality of the originated accountsAttain a detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers, enabling the delivery of insights encompassing the full account lifecycleAcquire an understanding of the operational processes (e.g. manual underwriting, portfolio management, collections) which will aid in understanding acquisition performance driversConduct ad hoc analytics and contribute to various projects representing Risk ManagementResponsible for development of the new account loss forecast for consumer and small business cardsBuild deep relationships with business partners across the firm and will be expected to interact with key clients and cobrand partner leadership teams

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

BS degree and minimum 5 years Risk Management or other quantitative experience requiredBackground in statistics, econometric, or other quantitative field requiredStrong SQL and Python coding skills, Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Alteryx and Tableau skills"Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management informationFamiliarity with risk analytic techniquesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong written and oral communication skillsExperience delivering recommendations to management

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

MS degree and 3 years Risk Management or other quantitative experience preferredAdvanced understanding of SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, or other decision tree software
