At AstraZeneca Nordic Marketing Company, we are now seeking an engaged and Strategic Account Manager for Central/North Sweden, with focus on Dalarna and Uppsala as well as prioritized hospitals and healthcare institutions in Northern Sweden. This is a field-based position.
About the Role
As Strategic Account Manager within Respiratory, you will be a key member of our national sales team, working with our latest triple therapy for COPD. You will drive commercial development and coordinate advanced, cross-functional collaborations with the region’s most important stakeholders. You identify business opportunities, gather and translate data and customer insights into strategic account plans that bring value for both the AstraZeneca brand and patients. The role involves regular travel within the region (approximately 2–4 overnight stays per month). Preferred place of residence is Uppsala or northern Stockholm.
Responsibilities
You will develop and implement robust, data-driven strategies for prioritized accounts and build long-term partnerships with decision-makers, prescribers, and expert groups within both specialized and primary care. Working through OMNI-channel plans and close collaboration with both internal and external teams, you ensure patients have access to the latest treatments and the AstraZeneca brand becomes a natural part of local healthcare processes. You lead change and collaboration projects and leverage digital tools such as Veeva for customer insight gathering, relationship building, and optimized business decisions. With a strong patient focus, you work according to scientific and health economic reasoning - always in line with our values, standards, and current regulations.
Essential Experience
Academic degree in health or life sciences (e.g. nurse, pharmacist, biomedical analyst or equivalent) or medical qualification with LIF authorization.
Several years of experience in sales or healthcare, preferably within pharmaceutical or Medtech industry.
Proven track record in driving business development and coordinating cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of the Swedish healthcare system, including its structure and decision-making processes.
Skilled in using digital tools and data analytics (e.g., Veeva, remote e-detailing) to improve performance and guide strategic decisions.
Excellent ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders across healthcare.
High-level communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; solution-oriented and motivated by positive patient impact.
Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region.
Previous successful sales results and experience engaging with expert groups, specialist care and primary care in Northern Sweden are advantageous.
