Strategic Account Manager

KLAS 8 News Now, the Nexstar Media TV station in Las Vegas, Nevada has an exciting opportunity for someone who excels in digital marketing strategy and advertising sales.

The Strategic Account Manager generates digital advertising revenue by calling on local and regional businesses and agencies to develop new client relationships. They will sell digital marketing solutions to these businesses utilizing Nexstar’s full suite of digital products. They will also collaborate with account executives on client service and digital strategy for key station accounts and develop into a subject matter expert to assist the management team.

The compensation plan includes a base salary plus monthly sales commission with the opportunity to develop local, regional and multi-market business.

Prospect, qualify, develop, close, and grow new businessMake in-person sales calls and phone calls to reach key decision makersConduct in-depth needs analysis to understand each client's unique advertising goalsDevelop and present customized digital advertising solutions. Pitch and close new accounts on your own and together with other team membersProvide regular follow-up reporting to clients using detailed analyticsMeet revenue targets and develop a strategy to support achievement of goalsAssist sales team with proposal development, client service and analytics for key accountsDevelop a file of success stories and case studies to share with the sales teamShare knowledge of digital media products and marketing trends during sales training meetingsAssist sales management team with special projects related to digital salesOther duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

Expertise selling digital advertising is required. Experience with CTV, digital video advertising and CPM based campaigns is a plusExcellent presentation skills are essential - Ability to write, design and deliver clear and concise information in a creative and compelling formatComprehensive knowledge and practical application of digital media targeting capabilities and analyticsA consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsTime management skills are essentialEffective relationship building, customer service and negotiation skillsStrong computer skills. Must be able to produce high quality documents in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPointProfessional appearance is a mustReliable transportation, valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record

Education/Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, mass communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or proven work-related experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience in advertising sales OR a minimum of 5 years in a digital marketing strategic role along with previous business to business sales experience.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
The Strategic Account Manager must be able to sit, reach, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. This is not a work from home position and requires going to the office 5 days a week.
