About the Role

As a Storeperson within Wesley Mission Queensland the key focus is to provide high quality catering services within a residential aged care facility, to assist in the running of the kitchens located within Sinnamon Village. Order and receive goods into the kitchen store and manage the daily tasks associated within the food preparation.

Key Role Accountabilities:

Breakdown and distribute cooked and chilled foods from the Moorooka site for delivery to Courts.Process grocery orders from Courts.Prepare all types of food in accordance to the Café and our residence.Liaise with Court HSTM’s on ordering of goods to ensure correct supply amounts.Report to the Hospitality Manager on supply issues with approved suppliers.Manage stock rotation to avoid wastage.Communicate with suppliers on defects or product returns.Be competent in the principles of HACCP as they apply to the stores area.Conduct stock take of stores on a monthly basis.Process supplier invoices for payment.Maintain sufficient stock levels to enable uninterrupted supply schedule.Conduct periodic cleaning of cold rooms, floors and general food storage areas.Participate in Workplace Health and Safety, infection control and ongoing training

About You

Certificate in Food Safety Supervisor.Comprehensive understanding of goods receivable procedures.Demonstrated ability to supervise staff.Physically fit with the capacity to undertake lifting of items up to 20kg in weight.Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of HACCP, particularly in the stores area and food preparation area.Demonstrated ability to manage invoices relating to receival of goods and manage issues relating to invoice discrepancies.Ability to implement and maintain quality standards for the facility in the areas of: cleanliness, food and beverage product and presentation, and presentation of staff.Demonstrated effective PC skills including MS Office and other related applications packages.

Desirable:

Food preparation skills.Stores experience in a similar environment.
