We are holding a Recruitment Day on Monday 8th September 2025 at The Minehead Store, Seaward Way, Minehead, TA24 5BF.

We’re hiring now for the following positions:

Customer Assistants* (£12.75 up to £13.65 per hour) (As of the 1st of September 2025, our pay will be increasing to £13.00 to £13.95 per hour)Shift Managers* (£14.65 up to £15.15 per hour) (As of the 1st of September 2025, our pay will be increasing to £14.95 to £15.45 per hour)

Our recruitment day takes place between 9am and 5.30pm and will include a welcome introduction to Lidl from various colleagues including, Store Managers, Area Managers and Head of Sales, as well as a face-to-face interview. 

CUSTOMER ASSISTANT - As a Lidl Customer Assistant, no two shifts are the same. From restocking shelves to jumping on tills, you’ll keep moving, keep business booming and never be bored. You’ll take pride in going the extra mile to keep the store clean, tidy and organised, working closely with your colleagues and making sure that every customer receives the service they deserve. You could even become a Freshness, Non-Food or Bakery Specialist.

SHIFT MANAGER - As a Retail Shift Manager at Lidl, you’ll help us maintain our high standards day after day. From motivating your team to taking responsibility for the shop floor, you’ll keep our store running like clockwork, thriving in a fast-paced and challenging environment. You’ll also reap the rewards of your hard work, enjoying the responsibility to prove yourself as a leader and find your footing for future success.

Our store recruitment open days take approximately 1 hour to complete and will include a tour of the store and an interview.

What you'll do

 

Customer Assistant:

Help our customers with their questions, queries and requestsEfficiently work deliveries as they arrive in storePassionately provide excellent customer serviceProactively keep the bakery topped up by baking fresh goodsExpertly merchandise and maintain our middle aisles of Non-Food products

 
Shift Manager:

Motivate and support your team, learning from our Leadership and Company PrinciplesSwiftly solve problems and delegating tasks Create an environment where your colleagues can succeed alongside youManage operations within your Store and colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager and Deputy Store ManagerHandle freshness, cash processes, inventory and stock management to make sure shifts run smoothlyGive our customers the very best experience every time they visit your storeWhat you'll need

 

Customer Assistant:

Shift Manager:
