Store Planner

The Store Planner supports the design, layout, and project coordination of new store build-outs and retrofits across both franchise and corporate locations. This role serves as a key liaison between franchisees, corporate store leadership, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure store layouts are functional, compliant, and consistent with brand standards.\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities\n

Essential Design Layout \n\nCollaborate with franchise owners, corporate district managers, vendors, and internal teams to support the planning and execution of new store openings and retrofit projects.\nDevelop and maintain layouts that optimize product presentation while upholding brand consistency.\nEnsure adherence to corporate brand standards and store planning guidelines throughout the design and construction process.\nMaintain and update the library of construction drawings, finishes, specifications, and design notes.\nParticipate in ongoing evaluations and enhancements of the store design program.\n\n

Order Management and Vendor Coordination \n\nManage ordering processes for fixtures, inventory, and equipment needed for store openings, relocations, and remodels.\nCoordinate with vendors to schedule and monitor deliveries for store fixture programs.\nCommunicate order timelines, changes, and issues to internal stakeholders and franchisees.\n\n

Project Coordination and Administrative Support \n\nCoordinate and communicate project timelines and milestones with relevant internal and external teams.\nProject tracking of certifications, training, and other items needed for store openings.\nMaintain the master schedule for store openings and perform 30-, 60-, and 90-day follow-ups.\nEffective communication with franchisees to ensure project funding, including SBA loans, permitting, architectural drawings, permitting and city approvals.\nTrack and manage store design deviations using the store exceptions database.\nSupport the preparation and distribution of monthly store planning reports. Weekly reporting to senior leadership on project tracking.\nIdentify and proactively communicate project risks, roadblocks, and recommended solutions.\n\n

Education and Experience\n\nBachelor's degree in Design, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred; PMP Certification a plus.\nMinimum 1 year of retail, merchandising, or store planning experience required.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Excel, and Visio.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nDetail-oriented with strong organizational and project coordination abilities.\nBasic math skills, including percentages, ratios, and spatial measurements.\n\n
