Working in close coordination with RGRTA Transit and MANCON headquarters, the Store Manager will champion the efforts to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, seek competitive parts pricing, improve vehicle availability, reduce vehicle life cycle costs, improve maintenance outcomes, increase productivity, and streamline operations between RGRTA Transit and MANCON. The Store Manager will be responsible for day-to-day contract execution in accordance with RGRTA Transit’s Statement of Needs. The Location Manager will have operational decision-making authority to ensure that MANCON’s workforce is responding appropriately to RGRTA Transit’s operational requirements. The hourly pay rate is $33.00 - 38.50. Responsibilities Provide Quality Customer ServiceAttention to detailMeet and greet customersReview supplied requisition forms to ensure they are properly completed (signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions, and quantities)Answer questions regarding availability of partsAsk appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and providedIf necessary, inspect equipment in the shop to assist in parts researchResearch parts for procurement utilizing vendor/manufacturer websites, publications, equipment manuals, microfiche, etc., to ascertain the necessary parts to procureAnswer all messages (phone/email) in a timely fashionContact appropriate vendors for pricing and to place ordersInform customers when requested parts are availableProvide past sales research as requested, utilizing the inventory systemCheck parts availability at all MANCON locations utilizing the inventory systemContact other MANCON locations to request transfers of parts or obtain parts informationReview, familiarize with, and adhere to MANCON’s SOPs, Supervisor Manual, and Safety ManualPurchasing and WarrantyReview specifications for contractual and technical accuracyReview current inventory and provide cost and price analysesMaintain inventory levels by placing purchase orders within established time framesAct as a liaison between the vendors and Accounts Payable Department to resolve discrepancies in invoicing and adjustments for materials shortages, damages, or inferior qualityCoordinate emergency purchases with suppliers and departmentsReview vendor pricing and compare opportunities to obtain better pricing without sacrificing qualityBuild relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricingProcess requisitions and update management on the status of ordersUpdate inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levelsTrack inventory discrepancies, stock outs, and special ordered partsAttend weekly meetings with customers to update on open order statusesAnalyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisionsCoordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as requiredPerform related duties and projects as assignedProduce and Review Required ReportsGenerate, distribute, copy, and file all invoices for material issuedGenerate, review, and correct items identified on the PT/OP Bin check reportGenerate, review the Inactive Item Report, and take action on items as appropriateProduce and provide backup for all Credit Card purchases to corporateData Entry RequirementsEnsure that all completed customer requisitions are properly invoiced in the inventory systemEnsure that all vendor receiving documents are properly entered in the inventory systemEnsure that all inventory transfer requests are properly entered in the inventory systemGenerate new item numbers in the inventory system following published guidelinesInventory Management RequirementsPerform and report weekly inventory cycle countsPerform system research on all cycle count discrepanciesMonitor and review inventory bin assignments to ensure accuracyReview item sales history to ensure proper Stock Sources are setMeet with customer representatives to discuss future requirements in regards to stocking levelsProcess transfer requests from other MANCON locationsPerform Wall to Wall inventory at site, when notified, following established proceduresPersonnel Management RequirementsSupervise on-site staff, monitoring all job description activitiesReview and submit timesheets, including emergency overtimeInvestigate and resolve personnel issuesProvide training on processes and procedures to new employeesMonitor employee performance and address problems in accordance with established disciplinary processes Qualifications 10 years computer experience10 years auto or heavy duty truck parts experience10 years inventory experience10 years customer service experience10 years supervisory experience24-hour availabilityValid driver’s license with 2 years driving experienceObtain and maintain trainer forklift certificate Physical Requirements Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
