The CIS program supports our intelligence customer deliver IT services to conduct its globally distributed operations. We are driving an exciting technological transformation of their IT services by leading the design, development, implementation, and operation of cutting-edge solutions. This includes continuous service improvement through the modernization of IT system infrastructure.
CACI is looking for an experienced, innovative, and motivated Storage Systems Specialist to support the mission objectives and needs of the customer, the Defense Intelligence Agency. The position is contingent upon award of the DIA SITE III CIO Information Services (CIS) contract.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a key member of global 24/7 operations coverage, supporting all infrastructure, devices, products, and solutions.
Deploy, operate, and maintain physical and virtual storage systems during the operational System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Provide Tier 2 incident analysis and resolution, troubleshooting, break/fix activities, and hands-on support for data storage components.
Monitor and manage storage allocation, provisioning, configuration, security, and throughput across various environments.
Administer and secure data shares, network drives, and other storage solutions, ensuring proper access control and permissions.
Maintain efficient backups, replication, verification, and restoration services to meet data-related SLAs.
Collaborate with storage engineering teams on evaluating new technologies, vendor research, AoA assessments, and DR/COOP planning.
Analyze software versions, patches, and upgrades, ensuring compliance and proper implementation timelines.
Oversee physical and logical security of data at rest and in transit across all components.
Exercise disaster recovery plans and backup/archive procedures to ensure continuity of operations with minimal disruption.
Utilize Lab facilities for incident investigation, resolution, and feasibility testing of designs and technologies.
Document and develop knowledge base artifacts, SOPs, reports, and other technical documentation supporting operations.
Support the transfer of engineered solutions from engineering teams throughout Acceptance testing and Blue/Green fielding.
Qualifications:
Required:
Must hold a current Top Secret clearance and be SCI eligible
A BS/BA in Science, Technology, or Engineering and 12+ years of experience, MS/MA and 10+ years of experience, or PhD and 8+ years of experience, AS/AA and 14+ years of experience
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience integrating, operating, and maintaining IT hardware and software solutions.
Certification: NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) – ONTAP or equivalent OEM vendor certification.
Technical Expertise: Experience with Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), object-based storage, cloud storage, data replication, migration, and hierarchical storage management.
Security and Compliance: Knowledge of NIST, FIPS, and NSA-approved encryption standards for securing data at rest and in transit.
Disaster Recovery & Backup: Proven ability to implement and oversee backup/archive strategies, disaster recovery plans, and continuity of operations protocols.
Current DoD 8140 – IAT II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+)
Desired:
Familiarity with IC ITE services and classified environments
Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM systems
ITIL 4 Foundation Certification

The proposed salary range for this position is:
