At Change Grow Live we strive to ensure our services are warm and welcoming environments. Working within the Newcastle Stop Smoking team, as a Stop Smoking Advisor, you will be a vital part of the team.

 

You will provide a high-quality stop smoking service across Newcastle. This will be delivered through a range of interventions, from brief advice and information to structured programmes with the aim being to support people to quit tobacco and live a healthier life. 

 

The interventions will be delivered face to face in the community and/or remotely, on an individual or group basis, and will include motivational interviewing techniques and the dispensing of Nicotine Replacement Therapies. 

 

You would report directly to the Service Manager and would work alongside them and the community engagement team to build relationships in the local community and provide a service that is non-judgemental, supportive and client-led to deliver these interventions to smokers in order for them to progress on their quit journey towards a healthier, happier life

 

Location: Newcastle

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £25,077.00 - £26,502.53 Dependent on experience (based on full time hours, pro rata for part time).

Contract: Fixed term contract until 8th of January 2026

 

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate must have an understanding of human behaviour in relation to smoking. Be able to carry out assessments and deliver interventions matched to identified needs. This will include behavioural support, the use of motivational interviewing techniques and the dispensing of Nicotine Replacement Products. 


You will have excellent engagement skills, be committed to high quality service provision and the active involvement of service users.
