Accountabilities:
Responsibility to monitor work areas, watch for suspicious behavior and report any concerns regarding unidentified visitors and/or unauthorized personnel.Authority to question and take appropriate measures regarding the safety of themselves, other employees, products, and equipment.Responsibility of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the food processing facility, especially where any raw or finished product is produced.Authority to report and/or eliminate hazards to the safety of the food that is produced in the facility.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations.Reviews incoming articles by counting and sorting, verifying receipt of items on pack slip are compatible to items ordered on Purchase Order and quantities received agree with pack slip. Part mark inventory items. Notify requisitioner of receipt on non-stock item.Stores inventory by part number to pre-assigned locations in bin boxes or on shelves and store equipment and tools in designated locations.Issues inventory from stock to account numbers associated to work orders or directly to an account number determined by inventory item.Issues tools and equipment from stock on designated checkout form.Performs physical count inventory and make adjustments when necessary.Prepares Material Shipment Authorization form for inventory items or tools returned to vendor for exchange, repair or credit.Inputs receipts, issues and returns to a computerized inventory control system.Maintains Lock Out/Tag Out keys for locks checked out by authorized personnel. Maintains Confined Space equipment and check out procedures.Attends and participates in all annual, departmental, and job specific required training and monthly informational meetings.Communicates any problems or changes in department to supervisor and/or appropriate personnel.Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality operation.
