Due to program requirements, this particular position needs to be filled by a person with a disability **Job Description** **PRIDE Industries** **Job Description** **Job:** Stock Clerk Lead **Job Code:** J01 - BL-Stock Clerk Lead **SCA Occup:** 21150 Stock Clerk (Shelf Stocker; Store Worker II) **Salary Grade:** Federal Wage Determination or Collective Bargaining Agreement **FLSA Status:** Non-Exempt **Approval Date:** March 2017 **POSITION SUMMARY:** Under general supervision, the lead stock clerk leads work teams, prioritizes, assigns, and coordinates daily staff activities and performs a variety of clerical and physical tasks involved in the receiving, storing, and issuing of equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools. The stock clerk lead also follows established guidelines and processes to maintain inventory records of items in work site stockroom or warehouse. **TYPICAL DUTIES:** 1. *Leads a work team, prioritizes, assigns and coordinates daily staff activities. 2. *Trains and assists workers in performing duties. 3. *Monitors progress of tasks and inspects completed work to ensure quality. 4. *Verifies inbound shipments against packing slips to ensure accuracy of items being delivered and issues parts to fulfill service order requests. 5. *Knows and trains workers in the safe and proper use of products and equipment to meet quality and safety standards. 6. *Uses inventory software to process receipt and movement of materials through the system. 7 *Sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice, examines stock to verify conformance to specifications. 8. *Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material to maintain organization and efficiency. 9. *Fills orders or issues supplies from stock, prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock, and requisitions articles to fill incoming orders. 10. *Fills pick tickets from inventory for pending service order requirements and enters changes in system. 11. *Loads and unloads freight from trucks, storage containers or vehicles, and sorts and stacks materials to be palletized for movement. 12. *Inspects materials and products for proper and secure packaging, and maintains integrity and condition in bin locations. Restacks products or removes excess packaging material as needed. 13. *Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, location changes, and refusal of shipments. 14. *Compiles reports of issues and receipt transactions completed over a weekly and a monthly basis. 15. *Often performs tasks common to the “material handler” job description. 16. May distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued. 17. Processes real-time systematic transactions for moving materials using RF scan guns. 18. On occasion, work requires local travel to other facilities. 19. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned. * Denotes Essential Job Function **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** • One year of related experience. • Excellent time management skills. • Familiarity with receiving processes and procedures preferred. • Experience operating a forklift, RF Scan Gun, and other material handling equipment preferred. • Computer literacy and ability to look up and enter information using a computer. • Ability to learn specialized software related to departmental operations. • Communication skills to provide procedural and factual information, and respond to questions from customers, employees, and others. • Customer service skills to act responsively to customer inquiries and requests; and escalate the more difficult matters appropriately. • Knowledge of basic business English including vocabulary and spelling. • Mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. • Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities. • Demonstrated organizational, problem solving and common sense skills. **EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:** High School Diploma or GED **CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED:** The following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements: Not Applicable **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:** Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance: • Maneuvering to and around equipment • Bending, stooping, and reaching • Utilizing keyboard • Monitoring computer systems • May include viewing computer/CCTV monitor(s) and detailed work requiring close vision • Moving or lifting boxes up to 25 pounds • Answering/making phone calls • Communicating with others **WORK ENVIRONMENT:** Work is primarily performed at a customer’s location in an office / shop environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise and/or noise from equipment. Transporting to locations with the work site may be required.
