Overview Steward The Yukon Flats Project is recruiting for its seasonal exploration program in Birch Creek, Alaska, running between June and October. The Steward role is to supervise and assist staff responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of a remote camp in the Yukon Flats region. Responsible for maintaining appropriate supply levels and standards or sanitation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage all aspects of daily camp operations. Supervise and lead staff, ensuring: Staff receive appropriate training for their scope of work Work is being completed in a safe and effective manner Camp cleanliness and sanitation are meeting high standards Inspect camp daily to ensure proper sanitation, maintenance, and upkeep of living, dining, and storage facilities Address staff and resident concerns in a timely and effective manner. Communicate with staff, residents, and stakeholders effectively. Make decisions independently and implement appropriate changes. Ensure food orders are varied to meet the nutritional needs of camp residents. Ensure adequate supplies, tools, and equipment are maintained on site. Be a role model of operating safely and protecting the environment while providing cost-effective, fiscally responsible, quality services to clients.
