**Description:**
Urchin Restaurant, part of the prestigious Hyatt Regency Cape Town, is looking for a dedicated and reliable Steward to join our back‑of‑house team.
As a Steward, you’ll be an essential part of our operation — ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly, maintaining impeccable cleanliness, and supporting our chefs in delivering a world‑class dining experience.
Requirements:
· Previous stewarding or kitchen cleaning experience preferred (training can be provided)
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑end restaurant environment
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards
· Willingness to follow safety and sanitation procedures
· Positive, team‑oriented attitude
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
· Operate dishwashing machines and handle cleaning chemicals safely
· Assist chefs with basic kitchen prep when required
· Sort and dispose of waste in accordance with hotel procedures
