Position Summary:
Blackstone Country Club is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Steward to support our culinary team by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in our kitchen and back-of-house areas. As a vital part of the Food & Beverage team, the Steward ensures a safe, sanitary environment that enhances the overall dining experience for our members and guests. Key Responsibilities: Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area, kitchen floors, trash receptacles, and storage areas Assist with basic food prep and set-up as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals Monitor dishwashing machines for proper chemical levels and water temperature Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries and supplies Support chefs and line cooks with cleaning duties during and after service Report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly Work collaboratively with all departments to support smooth kitchen operations Qualifications: Previous steward or kitchen utility experience preferred, but not required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Other Qualifications: ServSafe certification preferred. Regular and Reliable attendance.
