1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Eighteen (18) months working as a certified Sterile Processing Technician within a hospital setting or ambulatory surgery center is required. Incumbents hired or transferred into the position prior to 1/26/2023 retain eligibility based on previous criteria.
3. Sterile Processing (CRCST or CSPDT) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
4. Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) or equivalent certification is preferred.
5. Strong critical thinking, customer service skills, and computer experience are required.
6. Math skills and attention to detail are required.
7. Knowledge of proper handling of clean, sterile, and contaminated supplies, instruments and sterilization equipment is required.
8. Knowledge of patient care equipment, validated cleaning and disinfection methods required.
9. Knowledge of various cleaning, disinfecting, and pretreatment chemistries and disinfectants required.
10. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulation regarding processing of surgical and medical equipment required.
Pay Range: $21.00- 33.93*
* May be adjusted depending on ladder placement SPD Tech I-IV*
