Additional Information About the Role GREAT OPPORTUNITY!!! We have an amazing opportunity to work as a Sterile Processing Tech II. The St. Louis Children’s Specialty Care Centers in Town and Country are outpatient facilities located in west and south St. Louis Counties. The centers are focused exclusively on providing the very best care for our young patients. We provide a range of outpatient pediatric medical services including general surgery, orthopedics and sports medicine, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, urologic and plastic surgery. This opportunity will mainly support the west county facility. You will occassionally provide coverage at our south county location as well. 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday Must be Certified as a CRCST No weekends Holiday Coverage Overview St. Louis Children’s Hospital is dedicated to improving the health and lives of children. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Function as a team member in the operating room to support medical and nursing staff during the pre, intra, and post-operative phase, including preparing equipment and supplies for use by the medical team, cleaning and sterilizing equipment and reusable supplies, assembling case carts/trays and performing direct patient care as needed. Responsibilities Assembles and processes instruments sets, trays, supplies and linen; prioritizes trays and tasks according to the surgery schedule. Utilizes and troubleshoots steam sterilizers. Follows proper techniques and procedures to ensure the integrity of the sterilization process. Disassembles, decontaminates, and processes instrumentation according to manufacturer and industry standards. Transports patients with any necessary materials and documents to treat or diagnose. Minimum Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED Experience
