Position Summary:
The Sterile Processing Supervisor is responsible for assisting with planning, directing, organizing, monitoring and staffing departmental services subject to policies, budgets, objectives and directives mandated by regulatory agencies, DNV and the hospital administrative team. Supervises and coordinates all resources and services of the Sterile Processing Department. Responsibilities include all administrative duties, human resource management (hiring, coaching, training, scheduling, payroll, etc.), direct supervision of staff as needed, financial management, purchasing, regulatory agencies compliance, and quality monitoring, reporting and improvement. Develops and implements policies, procedures, training and competencies for team members in collaboration with Coordinators and Surgical Services as needed. Maintains communications and relationships with Surgical Services, all departments/clinics and customers. Demonstrates excellent customer service and coordinates services with/for Surgical Services, Clinics, other Bozeman Health entities, and outside customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or EquivalentCertified Registered Central Service Technician required within 1 year of hire2 years management of supervisory experiencePreferred: Bachelor’s Degree in science or related fieldPreferred: Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology programPreferred: Current CIS – Certified Instrument SpecialistPreferred: 2 years health care experience in Surgical Services and/or Sterile ProcessingEssential Job Functions:
