**The role you’ll contribute:**
Manages daily operations of the central sterile supply unit sterile processing department in support of surgical procedures.
**The value you’ll bring to the team:**
+ Develops specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
+ Collects and reports on data concerning instrument distribution, loss and replacement. Works collaboratively to identify and implement strategies related to product standardization, supply reduction, and cost containment.
+ Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. May perform and oversee processes such as scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagement.
+ Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, vendor relations, and quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities throughout the health system according to industry regulations.
+ Monitors quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities. Manages quality assurance programs by adjusting work product goals in conjunction with regular audits trends and metrics.
+ Establish and maintain sterilization, safety and security standards, policies and procedures for Sterile Processing Department to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
Qualifications
**The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:**
+ High School Grad or Equiv Required
+ Technical/Vocational School Required
+ Associate Preferred
+ Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Cert Required Or Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) Required Or Certified Sterile Processing Tech (CSPD) Required Or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required Or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Required And
+ One year of Leadership experience required
