**Responsibilities** + Establish and maintain an efficient system for processing of surgical instruments and restocking of surgical suppliesthrough the development of department policies and procedures that ensure adequate and proper quantities ofreprocessed supplies and equipment to meet patient care demands + Analyze daily surgery schedule and preference list to prioritize department workload and avoid potential shortagesof instruments and sets + Manages the department quality control and quality improvement programs + Coordinates annual and ongoing education of staff, identifies needed training and Develops appropriate plans tomeet the needs + Provides monthly reports to the manager as required; Provides data for planning, decision‐making, improvingproductivity and problem resolution including development of capital budget + Responsible for working with vendors and purchasing to obtain purchase orders when appropriate for repair orreplacement of surgical instruments, supplies and equipment; monitors status of purchase orders **Qualifications** Required education: + Associate’s Degree + GED equivalent and an additional 5 years of relatedexperience can substitute for the Associate’s Degree + CRST or CRCST (Certified Registered Central ServiceTechnician) Required experience: + Three (3) years of CSPD experience or related instrumentmanagement **Overview** Sterile Processing Coordinator As our Sterile processing coordinator youat the CHI Woodlands Hospital, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiative and Dignity Health, you’ll establishes and enforce standards of instrument processing activities, sterilization of surgical supplies. The Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties.
