Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Compounding Technician to join our team. The role involves preparing IV and other pharmaceutical preparations using proper sterile compounding techniques while adhering to documented instructions and safety procedures. ResponsibilitiesMix IV and other pharmaceutical preparations using sterile compounding techniques.Adhere to all documented instructions, warnings, procedures, and best practices to ensure safe and effective drug preparation.Perform environmental monitoring, sanitation, testing, and other activities as required by federal and state pharmacy regulations and USP-797.Maintain accurate drug inventory through purchasing, receiving, stocking, pulling, counting, and tracking drug items.Enter home medication lists and lab results into CPR+ for patient profiles.Clean ante-room and clean room according to USP-797 standards and maintain clean room logs.Verify lot numbers and perform periodic inventory checks.Assist with On-Call responsibilities as needed.Complete a competency verification plan upon hire and annually thereafter.Ensure confidentiality of Company proprietary information and patient/client care information, complying with federal and state confidentiality laws.Essential SkillsPharmacy Technician certification (PTCB).Understanding of federal and state confidentiality laws, including HIPAA guidelines.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience as a pharmacy technician preferred.Home infusion therapy experience preferred, but not required.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Articulate communication skills and comprehension of written and verbal communications.Basic math skillsProficiency in computer skills, including Windows and OfficeWork Environment
This role is based in a Closed Door Pharmacy/At home infusion setting. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with rotating on-call weekends. The position involves working mainly in the IV room, which requires physical stamina for standing and handling the process of entering and exiting the IV room. Overtime is minimal, typically 30-60 minutes per day, totaling around 3-5 hours per week.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
