We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Compounding Technician to join our specialized pharmacy team. This role involves meticulous preparation of IV and other pharmaceutical preparations using sterile compounding techniques, ensuring safe and effective drug preparation. The ideal candidate will adhere to strict guidelines and regulations to maintain the highest standards of pharmacy practice.
ResponsibilitiesMix IV and other pharmaceutical preparations using proper sterile compounding techniques.Adhere to all documented instructions, warnings, and procedures to ensure safe and effective drug preparation.Perform environmental monitoring, sanitation, testing and other activities as required by federal and state pharmacy regulations and USP-797.Maintain accurate drug inventory through purchasing, receiving, stocking, pulling, counting and tracking drug items.Enter home medication list and lab results into CPR+ for patient's profile.Clean ante-room and clean room according to USP-797 standards and maintain clean room logs.Verify lot numbers and perform periodic inventory checks.Assist with on-call responsibilities as needed.Complete competency verification plan upon hire and annually thereafter.Understand and comply with confidentiality regarding proprietary information and patient/client care, following HIPAA guidelines.

Work Environment
The position is based in a closed-door pharmacy focusing on at-home infusion. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with rotating on-call weekends, mainly Saturdays, every three weeks after training. The day involves cleaning and working in the IV room, completing work orders from pharmacists. The department consists of three people, involving a significant amount of independent work. Physical aspects include standing and handling tasks in the IV room. Initial overtime is expected at 30-60 minutes per day, approximately 3-5 hours per week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
