Sterile and Processing Technician

Description:Hours of Operation Monday-Thursday 0700-1630Hours of Operation: Monday-Thursday 0700-1630We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. This vital role is responsible for the cleaning, sterilizing, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment to ensure a safe and effective environment for patient care. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, committed to quality, and able to collaborate with a wide range of departments to support patient safety and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Demonstrate the organization’s mission and core values in all actions.Follow all regulations related to patient health, safety, and confidentiality.Clean, assemble, and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with hospital protocols.Prepare and assemble surgical and procedural instrument sets for Surgery, OB, ED, and other departments.Ensure all instruments are functioning properly; identify those needing repair, sharpening, or replacement.Accurately record sterilization test results and respond appropriately to positive biological indicators.Assemble crash carts, case carts, procedure kits, and drape packs.Respond to intraoperative requests for additional instrumentation.Operate and utilize hospital systems such as PeopleSoft, SPM, Outlook, Omnicell, and others.Monitor and maintain supply inventory levels and ensure proper rotation and labeling.Fill internal supply and equipment requests in a timely manner.Assist with deliveries, returns, and vendor transactions.Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage and sterilization areas.Perform other duties as assigned to support overall team success.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.Certification in Sterile Processing preferred but not required.Experience in sterile processing or healthcare environment preferred.Why Join Us?Supportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunities for training and growthCommitment to quality patient careCompetitive pay, benefits, paid time off, and sign-on bonus (if applicable)Apply Today!
