Statutory Reporting System Implementation Specialist

Statutory Reporting team is an independent group of subject matter experts in Regulatory Reporting within the Finance Division.

The team is responsible for the preparation of the audited financial statements for approximately 60 UK companies along with supporting financial reporting and control teams in EMEA with the preparation of some of their financial statements. The financial statements are prepared under IFRS, UK GAAP or local GAAP.

The Statutory Reporting team works closely with other areas of Finance – Regulatory Reporting, Tax and Product Control - to ensure that the results of the individual entities properly reflect the group’s activities. The team also supports other teams on one-off transactions and specialized accounting issues.

As part of the team of diverse and supportive professionals, the main tasks are concerned with providing support with the development and implementation project of migrating financial reports to a digital solution.

Responsibilities:

Contributing to overall project objectives of a small team responsible for implementing digital solution for financial statements preparation on selected Citi legal entitiesBecome an SME on software capabilities and customization to specific needs of the given entitiesParticipate in the development and implementation project of migrating CSC owned financial statements to a digital solutionAdvise and provide expertise to country finance teams on best practice solutions

Ideal background:

University/College degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics3-5 years of experience in financial auditing (internal or external) or financial reporting and accounting or controllingIFRS experience, familiarity with UK GAAP is an advantagePrior experience with preparation of financial statements and supporting external audit is an advantageIT affinityAccuracy and attention to detailPro-active, able to manage time and issuesPlanning and organizational skills, able to prioritize workAdvanced verbal and written communication skills in English
