Statutory Accounting Administrator

Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying a Statutory Accounting Administrator for a contract to hire opportunity in the north of Atlanta, GA. This role involves performing a variety of routine and non-routine accounting and reporting activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining reporting databases, preparing state supplemental and financial reports, and driving process improvements through reporting enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
o Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines.
o Manage document formatting, including indentation and font consistency.
o Prepare and organize files and documents for regulatory filings.
o Draft memos and other professional documents.
o Track and manage data related to various regulations, including payment schedules and amounts owed.
o Utilize filters, pivot tables, and other advanced Excel functions to organize or pull data.
o Input and extract information for financial reporting and invoice processing.
o Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets to streamline premium processing.
o Track credits and payments accurately, pull information for accounting team when requested
o Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed.
o Prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.
o Review documents for accuracy and ensure compliance with company policies.
o Send out checks and review invoices.
o Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial records.
o Extract and analyze general ledger information for use in financial analysis and reporting.
o Prepare detailed reports and summaries for management review.
o Resolve issues and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
o Perform general clerical duties such as filing, scanning, typing, and operating departmental office equipment.
