Job Description
Join our team as a Statistical Research Analyst 2 and play a crucial role in ensuring data quality and integrity, as well as providing critical insights through statistical analysis.
You will be responsible for data provision and running queries to support internal and external data requests, and creating and maintaining accurate statistical reports and online content, including contributing to new research exploring evidence-based practices.
This dynamic position also involves analyzing correctional data to assess trends and impacts on various populations, along with supporting agency operations by attending meetings, assisting with report alignment, and facilitating collaborations through the preparation of essential documents and presentations.
The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to prepare a variety of statistical reports daily, weekly, monthly, and annually, with some on-site work in Des Moines, Iowa.
This position is supported through the ability to work remotely.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
+ Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, political science, or public administration and experience equal to two years of full-time work in statistical analysis or economic research.
+ A total of six years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where one year of full-time experience equals 30 semester hours of education (maximum substitution of four years).
+ Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in statistics, mathematics, epidemiology, economics, public policy, public affairs, public administration, or business analytics.
+ Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes 18 months of fulltime work as a Statistical Research Analyst 1.
