Location: US Coast Guard Yard – Curtis Bay,MD
Type: Non-Exempt
Compensation: $41.40-$41.40/hr.
Work Schedule: Full-Time, 2:30pm-10:00, Monday – Sunday and Holidays as scheduled

Tessera is seeking a flexible and reliable Stationary Engineer with a helpful attitude.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
+ Repairs and troubleshoots steam and/or Compressed Air Systems malfunctions to include water treatment systems.
+ Coordinates and performs preventative maintenance on boilers, air compressors and other Central Plant equipment.
+ Utilizes wire diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and drawings to guide repairs and maintenance.
+ Ensures completed work meets quality control standards.
+ Assists with orienting and training new employees and assists in work assignments.
Qualifications:
+ Licensed by the State of Maryland as Grade 1 Stationary Engineer required.
+ Must be able to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
+ Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
+ Be able to work independently or in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
Physical Demands:
+ Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 lbs.
+ Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, a good sense of balance.
+ Ability to work in a variety of different environments, including inclement weather and high man lifts.
Requirements:
+ Valid Driver’s license required. Must be able to obtain and maintain approval to operate a vehicle by Tessera’s insurance carrier.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
