The Minnesota Department of Direct Care & Treatment is hiring a **Records Production Specialist** for the Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP). We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual to manage and process data and records requests.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Responding to information requests in compliance with legal and policy standards
+ Maintaining accurate records and databases
+ Calculating associated costs and preparing invoices
+ Supporting records storage, retention, and disposition
+ Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders
+ Ensuring accurate classification and redaction of private or not public data.
*Please note, this position may be located at either the St. Peter or Moose Lake facility depending on the location of the candidate selected.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma
AND
+ Two (2) years of experience in records management, information classification, releasing information and managing the life cycle of the record demonstrating the following:
+ Knowledge of state statutes, laws, and policies related to data privacy, HIPAA, Protected Health Information (PHI), and the release of information
+ Interpreting and applying data privacy regulations to ensure compliance and accurate documentation
+ Data entry, with the ability to locate, update, and retrieve information from various databases
+ Database navigation and management to support accurate and timely data processing
+ Typing and keyboarding to perform redactions and produce reports, correspondence, and data summaries efficiently
+ Word processing software to create, edit, and format a wide range of documents and reports
+ Handling, managing, or processing sensitive medical and/or legal documents with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Completion of a formal education program in a records management-related field such as office administration, medical administrative support, or health information management.
+ Demonstrated commitment to cultural responsiveness, with experience working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
