As the Grant System Manager you will provide administrative, consultative and coordinative work for the Minnesota Education Grant System (MEGS.) The grant management system supports application submissions, amendments, approvals, payments, and issuance of grant award notifications. This position will lead requirement gathering sessions to analyze, define and document business processes, technical requirements, data management and development of specifications for technology initiatives and implementing system improvements.
In addition, this position will act as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies and operations of the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and MEGS and to be able to recommend solutions to enable projects to be successful and goals to be met along with being the point of contact between vendors, MNIT, and the Agency.
**This position is eligible for telework to applicants who reside in Minnesota or a bordering state. Effective June 1, employees living within 50 miles of the office location listed above will be required to work in the office at least 50% of the time each month. For those who live 50 or more miles away, with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance are eligible to telework up to 100% of the time.**

Five (5) year of lead work or supervisory experience, including directing and assigning work and coaching or training staff. Experience to include the following:
+ Experience with large-scale financial systems in preparing and reviewing fiscal reports sufficient to identify problems quickly, research and evaluate relevant issues and formulate solutions.
+ Experience* managing projects for complex organizational systems, change management, and/or continuous improvement
+ Leadership skills sufficient to build and manage organizational projects and stakeholder relationships and influence decision makers
+ Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to provide clear, respectful, and timely answers to a variety of audiences; explain technical information in a simplified manner; and facilitate presentations and discussions
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Project Management or related field
+ Experience with the Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT) and Oracle Business Intelligent Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
+ Comprehensive accounting experience working for a governmental entity.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex financial data to non-financial audiences.
+ Ability to navigate ambiguity, anticipate barriers, and adapt to overcome challenges with a user-focused mindset.
