Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 14 years of experience in tax, state corporate income tax with a focus on tech companies.
+ Experience with state income tax laws and regulations, as well as tax accounting principles, and income tax audit management.
+ Experience building, developing, and leading a team.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Experience in memo writing, research, and managing state tax audits.
+ Exposure to ASC 740, accounting for income taxes.
+ Ability to analyze complex tax issues and develop effective solutions.
+ Ability to organize voluminous quantifies of complex tax data using software tools.
+ Ability to chase down projects, resources, and people, with proactive problem solving skills.

You have years of experience in this field and an extensive knowledge of those tax issues most relevant to internet companies. You find ways to work smarter by streamlining and automating our tax processes and systems, and find ways to be both innovative and compliant.
The State Corporate Income Tax plays a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the company's state income tax planning and advisory, audit management, and compliance. This team of tax professionals proactively identifying opportunities for tax savings, minimizing tax risks, and ensuring accurate and timely filing of state income tax returns.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $211,000-$297,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Develop and implement tax planning to minimize the company's state income tax liability, advise business partners to align state tax planning with business strategies, solve issues and recommend solutions that aligns with overall business objectives.
+ Stay abreast of changes in state and local tax laws and regulations, adoption of new tax laws, and assess and communicate their impact on the company's tax position.
+ Manage state income tax audits, develop and implement audit strategies to drive to practical and timely issue resolution.
+ Collaborate with the Tax Compliance team on the preparation and filing of all state income tax returns, ensuring optimal tax positions and adherence to all applicable laws and regulations. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals.
+ Collaborate to ensure proper tax accounting and reporting of state income tax positions and risks.
