Position SummaryThe Concession Stand Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving food and beverage items while delivering exceptional guest service. This includes handling cash transactions, maintaining cleanliness and organization in their assigned stand, and supporting the overall stand operations throughout each event. The role requires a proactive, team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can consistently uphold operational and service standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperate a cash register under an individual login and ensure accurate cash handling procedures.
Count and verify float at the beginning and end of each shift in the presence of the Stand Lead.
Maintain debit/credit receipts as part of final cash totals.
Ensure compliance with employee discount procedures and logging requirements.
Set up the concession stand at the beginning of each shift, including stocking fridges, organizing condiments, filling ice bins, and setting up displays.
Keep the work area clean and organized at all times; complete all assigned secondary duties.
Follow all cleaning procedures during and after service, including closing duties.
Serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with company, provincial, and facility policies (if over 18 and certified).
Perform additional duties as directed by the Stand Lead or Concessions Management.
QualificationsSmart Serve certification required; must be at least 18 years of age to serve alcohol.
Strong guest service orientation and communication skills.
Ability to follow direction and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
Highly organized with attention to detail and cleanliness.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Working ConditionsSeasonal unionized position.
Must be able to stand for extended periods (up to 5 hours).
Must be able to lift items up to 30 pounds.
Frequent walking, standing, reaching, hearing, speaking, and visual attention required.
