The role you’ll contribute:

The Staffing Office Supervisor will directly supervise the staffing coordinators and assist unit managers/directors in the day-to-day scheduling of hospital staff to meet the department specific daily needs of patient census at all three campuses in accordance with Hospital Mission, policies, goals and expectations. Responsible for coordinating staff scheduling of all nursing and contingent staff; provides for adequate staffing.

Assistances in the maintenance of attendance and tardy records for all nursing staff. Creates and distributes daily staffing plans based on current census and projected needs of admissions and discharges.

· Accurately performs job role without the need for close supervision

· Evaluates staff performance based on job role, participates in interviews and hiring for open positions in a timely manner

· Develops and evaluates the staff’s competencies

· Counsels and gives constructive direction to personnel as necessary and documents appropriately

· Recognizes emergency situations and responds appropriately.

· Assures daily staffing sheets are complete and accurate.

· Reports staffing concerns/issues/resignations to appropriate manager or director.

· Maintains communication with Nursing Supervisors and Leaders

· Responsible for all duties associated with staffing reassignments for the betterment of patient care delivery

· Supports internal and external nursing staffing contracts with accuracy for meeting completion requirements

· Oversees the maintenance of the mass communication tool of team members contact information including, home and mobile telephone numbers and use for rapid message sending for shift opportunities

· Participates in effective fiscal management of the department

· Coordinates daily communication of staffing needs with all three facilities to review staffing needs

· Maintains staffing to department matrix, or nurse manager’s acuity direction

· Assists with the development and maintenance of six-week staffing schedules as requested by the unit’s manager or director.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

High School Diploma - required

College degree -preferred

Microsoft office - preferred
