The role you’ll contribute:
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Under supervision, the Staffing secretary is responsible for day-to-day staffing for assigned nursing department(s). Is responsible for timely entry of staffing changes in the computerized staffing program. Performs on-shift time and attendance adjustments as needed to complete the local Agency Voucher process. Adheres to the Advent Health Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Utilizes the hospital performance improvement process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate) in the goals of the Clinical Staffing Resources Department.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Provides staffing support to Nursing Administrators, Nurse Managers, department call personnel, ANM/Charge RN, and nursing staff by keeping the staffing sheets and computerized staffing program updated to reflect staffing changes in a timely manner. Prints shift staffing sheets as assigned and faxes to the nursing units.
Maintains communication with the nursing units for changes in census, acuity and employee availability. Performs equitable distribution of available nursing staff, with the oversight of the Nursing Supervisor. Contacts non-working staff and/or agency for unit/department needs and tracks response.
Answers phones in a courteous, diplomatic and sensitive manner and provides timely support for telephone inquiries as monitored by Nursing Supervisors. Communication with staffing secretaries is perceived by customers as being helpful and cooperative.
Maintains accurate employee/agency data and scheduling/staffing information in the computerized staffing program on a timely basis. Performs collection and tracking of staffing data as assigned (i.e. sitter tracking).
