Staffing Coordinator / Scheduler (FT)
As a Staffing Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all units are staffed appropriately according to census and acuities in accordance with applicable federal guidelines for staffing.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Plan, organize and implement a sustainable staffing strategy
+ Schedule and coordinate with nursing staff to fill in schedule holes for each shift
+ Make sure Daily Staffing is in place for Nursing Department.
+ Monitor the company's staffing needs and take actions to staff accordingly by ensuring coverage for callouts
+ Work with staffing agencies as needed
+ Identify hard to fill roles and take proactive actions
+ Assist in candidate screening and interviewing
+ Assist with new employee orientation
+ Design and plan work shift schedules
+ Provide assistance with timekeeping for payroll purposes
+ Create, present and submit reports to management
Requirements:
+ 1-year of experience as a Staffing Coordinator / Scheduler or similar role
+ At least 1-year long term care facility experience
+ Knowledge of staffing policies, procedures and best practices
+ Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
+ Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind
+ Reliable with respect to confidentiality.
+ Minimum: high school diploma or GED
+ Competent with OnShift, Scheduling, Outlook, Chronos, SmartLinks, Eshyft
