Responsibilities:
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for:
Organizes and facilitates all staffing and scheduling needs within the nursing department.Prepares the daily staffing guide each week.
Manages day-to-day staff scheduling including staff replacements.
Manages data entry for tracking of staff absences.
Processes vacation requests Assisting the Supervisors timecard processing, including review, editing and final approval.Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma. Some post-secondary education desired.
Experience: 2 plus years’ scheduling experience and/or unit secretary/administrative experience; scheduling experience is required.
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong detail-orientation, organization and clerical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft-PC based and other software for work processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphics and scheduling. Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English. Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to express ideas and information (both in written and oral form) clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience and uses appropriate lines of authority. Ability to deal with conflict in a positive manner. Has an awareness of, responds to, and considers the needs, feelings and capabilities of team members. Ability to deal with frequent interruptions, high level of stress and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimum supervision. Ability to be accountable for quality customer service and respond appropriately to a variety of personalities and situations. Demonstrates ability to prioritize workload, using time effectively to achieve expected productivity and efficiency. Strong detail-orientation, organization and clerical skills.About Saint Therese:
