Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the nursing department to meet the needs of the patients based on budget, census, and as may be directed by Nursing administration. The Staffing Coordinator supports the Clinical Managers and Nursing Directors in daily staffing and scheduling functions as well as maintaining accurate records to assist in strategic planning, policy development and financial forecasting.
Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent. Associates Degree preferred but not required.
Experience: Prior experience in staffing preferred but on-the-job training is provided.
Skills and Abilities:
Good interpersonal skills in interactions with personnel, visitors, government agencies, and the general public in person and on the telephone. Organized and efficient with good prioritization skills. Enjoy working as a team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork. Working knowledge and skill in creating and using databases.
Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: This position may require duties including lifting up to thirty (30) pounds and require frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, and reaching. Good visual and auditory acuity as well as good manual dexterity required.
