Our Transmission Distribution global practice is looking for an experienced Staff Telecommunications Engineer to support our fast-growing Networks, Integration and Automation (NIA) team in our Fort Worth, TX office. This consulting engineering role focuses heavily on the support and growth of an existing investor-owned utility client’s MPLS network, including large scale deployments of fiber, microwave, and PLTE networks. Responsibilities as follows, but not limited to:
Support design of telecommunications networks utilizing client standards or developing new standards, as required.Support project deliverables such as: bill of materials, specifications, yard layouts, equipment plans, sections and details, wiring diagrams, control building arrangements, DC calculations, cable lists, device configuration/program files, network architecture diagrams, channel plans, and cutover planning.Support execution of complex assignments requiring the use of advanced tools and techniques, resulting in the development of new or improved processes, equipment and/or technological methods.Identify, communicate and support resolution of issues on projects as needed.Provide guidance, mentorship, and instruction to less experienced staff members.Work with the project manager(s) to support project schedule and meet deadlines.Work closely with the project team and/or client to ensure deliverables and services are being provided to client’s satisfaction and that projects are following internal QA/QC guidelines.Meet and correspond with clients or outside personnel to develop relationships with key client points of contact.Provide support in preparing proposals and presentations.Serve as a quality control (QC) resource on an ad-hoc basis for various deliverables (design, test plans, method of procedure (MOP)s, reports, etc)Other duties as assigned.
