Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries in Essex, VT is seeking a first shift (M-F, 7am-330pm) Deionized / Ultrapure Water + Chemical System Maintenance and Operations Staff Technician to work in the facilities organization reporting to Dustin Nuhfer.  For this 200mm Semiconductor manufacturing facility, the equipment includes reverse osmosis, ion exchange resin, filtration, chemical supply systems, chemical blending units, and other manufacturing support systems. This position is fully on site and requires some rotating holiday / weekend coverage. The ideal candidate will possess some demonstrated leadership / supervisory experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

Ensure proper system operation by performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasksRespond to and troubleshoot system alarms and controlsPerform mechanical field work on filters, resin vessels, UV lights, pumps, valves, tanks, tubing, piping, and controlsLead and coordinate improvement projects to increase safety, continuous operations, and organizational capabilityWork in a team environment with a focus on customer satisfactionProvide technical leadership to operate, maintain, and enhance various types of distribution equipment utilized in the Manufacturing areas

Other Responsibilities:

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programsOther duties as assigned by manager
 

Required Qualifications:

Education – High School Diploma or equivalentExperience - Minimum 10 years in related or mechanical fieldSchedule flexibility as weekend coverage will be requiredFluency in English Language – both written and verbalStrong written & verbal communication skillsPhysical Capacity Demands – ability to lift 30 lbs. and wear a respiratorSome demonstrated leadership / supervisory experienceAbility to wear a cleanroom suit and personal protective equipment for cleanroom environment, as neededAbility to climb up / down ladders and fit into confined spaces for maintenance purposesFluency in Microsoft software programs and in basic computer applicationsStrong planning & organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Education – 2 Year associate's degree in technical or related field10 + years' experience, and or education, in facilities systems such as water treatment, water purification, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, chilled water and glycol chilled water, compressed air, chemical distribution, and control systems is desirableProject management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity

Expected Salary Range

$65,400.00 - $145,800.00
