Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer – Requirements. This position is located at Annapolis Junction, MD or Linthicum Heights, MD.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Plan and execute the program lifecycle, including major program milestones / reviews (e.g., SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, peer reviews, Pre-test reviews, Post Test Reviews, Pre-Ship reviews, Etc.)Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirementsManage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program life cycle, collaborating across an entire portfolio of programsCollect, manage, and report the program metrics and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs)Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule.This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining a U.S. Government security clearance per program requirements.
This position will serve on-site in one of these area locations: Annapolis Junction, MD or Linthicum Heights, MD.
Basic Qualifications for Staff Systems Engineer – Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experienceDemonstrated experience defining and/or managing requirements of large-scale systemsExperience analyzing system and subsystem performance at various lifecycle stagesRequirements development from conceptualization to verificationDemonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle with a focus on SRR to CDRExperience in systems development, integration, and/or testExperience coordinating with various team members across subsystems during the development processThis position requires the applicant to be a U.S. CitizenAbility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with PolygraphPreferred Qualifications of Staff Systems Engineer – Requirements:
Use of requirements management tools (examples Doors or Cameo)Risk and Opportunity Management experienceUnderstanding of DoD systems engineering requirementsExperience leading small teamsAbility to manage a large database of requirements across systems, subsystems, and lower-level componentsMulti-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionallySalary Range: $163,200.00 - $256,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
