Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Core DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure from the ground up, ensuring seamless integration and robust performance. This role is crucial in enabling our development teams to deliver high-quality software at a faster pace through automation and streamlining processes.

Role and Responsibilities:

Build and Maintain Infrastructure:

Architect and implement a highly scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure.

Continuously improve the infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Develop and Manage CI/CD Pipelines:

Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.

Integrate automated testing and quality checks into the pipelines.

Automate Processes:

Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline operations.

Write and maintain scripts for automation of tasks and configuration management.

Ensure Security and Compliance:

Implement security best practices throughout the infrastructure.

Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Monitor and Optimize Performance:

Set up and manage monitoring tools to track system performance and availability.

Analyze performance metrics and optimize the infrastructure for better efficiency.

Provide Technical Support:

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.

Collaborate with other teams to address and resolve production issues.

Stay Current with Industry Trends:

Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation in the infrastructure.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5 - 7 years of proven experience as a core DevOps Engineer.Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and on-premises.Proficient in scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, Bash, or Perl.Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and Splunk.Solid understanding of networking, Ingress, Nginix, Service mesh, security, and system administration.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Strong communication and collaboration skills.
