Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking an experienced **Software Engineer** to join our team in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program.
The Software Tech Lead will work closely under the Software Lead and help to lead software development activities. Candidate will need to have experience with RF Signal Data Processing as well as various coding languages, CI/CD pipelines, Agile processes and the Atlassian tool suite.
This position will be at our site either in **Linthicum, Maryland or Fairfax, Virginia.** **This position requires being on-site and does** **_not_** **support remote or hybrid work.**
This position is contingent upon the verification and transfer of current/active DoD security clearance and program access as required for business needs.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Must have an **active** U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance **at the time of application** [ **_US Citizenship required_** ]
+ Minimum years of experience needed to be considered:
+ 12 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's
+ 10 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters's
+ 8 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD
+ 14 Years of relevant software engineering experience with a completed associate’s degree
+ 16 years of relevant work software engineering experience in lieu of a completed degree ( _High School diploma or equivalent is required_ )
+ Experience with RF Signal Data Processing
+ Experience with C/C++/Python/Java
+ Experience with DevSecOps environments in CI/CD pipelines
+ Experience with Agile programs and methodology
+ Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
+ Experience with Gitlab

+ STEM degree

Salary Range: $163,200.00 - $256,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
