As the Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing and leading a world-class design and development practice within our organization. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by implementing effective development strategies, processes, and tools. Additionally, you will lead and mentor a team of high caliber developers, driving continuous improvement and innovation across the development practice

Establishing a design and development Practice:
· Define and implement development processes, methodologies, and standards to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
· Be Accountable for the releases of INFX core services feature implementation and releases to customers.
· working closely with product owners/managers and RTEs to make commitments on INFX features and meeting those commitments sprint over sprint on PIs
Own JIRA updates to INFX Transact feature completion and responsible for exceeding Say/Do commitments.
Development capability set up
Work with AKL engineering team in setting up INFX Microservices End to End development capability. Collaboratively work with QA team in setting up and managing Bangalore FT/FIT lab for validating the INFX Transact core services .Taking accountability In delivery and releases of INFX software.
2. Talent Acquisition:
· Lead the recruitment and hiring efforts for the development team, attracting top talent and building a high-performing team.
· Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
3. Engineering capability build
· Develop strategies for development across a variety of platforms, including mobile devices, web applications, and cloud-based solutions.
· Select appropriate tools and frameworks to support in diverse environments and technologies.
4. Defining Success KPIs:
· Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the development process in alignment with AKL engineering team KPIs.
· Monitor and analyze KPIs to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate the value of Bangalore INFX engineering team to stakeholders.

· Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the INFX Transact team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
· Build relationships with stakeholders across the organization for successful project releases/

Design and development Strategy
• Identify the development capability required to meet current and future demand in specialised technical disciplines
• Work with the Software Development manager and product management team to develop the overall strategy and roadmap to meet organisational objectives
• Raise the developers profile within Invenco to significantly improve quality standards and integrations
Continuous improvement
• Continually seek ways to improve and enhance the development process and the process of application development and maintenance
• Oversee the continual improvement of the engineering function
• Refine design and development processes, methodologies, disciplines and measurements across all technologies
• Ability to motivate the development teams with the view to creating a high performing team that is willing to do what is required / go the extra mile to achieve high quality results within often tight time scales
Presentation and reporting on project progress
• Collate information from ongoing development for MBUs / Scrum Teams
• Analysing results from JIRA to support release delivery and to identify when a release is not on track, supporting the team to return to green.
• Present the information gathered to suit the target audience, be it executives or developer/technical audiences
• Analyse historical results from releases and identify areas for improvement by using trend analysis
Health, wellness and the environment responsibilities:
• Passion and desire for software development, continuous improvement and aiming for high standards of quality
• 10+ years relevant development experience - ideally within a technical development environment, 5-6 years of experience in a lead capacity
• Experience in leading C++ developers working on Linux platforms.
• Experience in Linux.
• Development experience in payment domain is definitely an advantage.
• Development experience of software/development
• Able to demonstrate an example of development maturity with regards to measurability and repeatability
• Strong expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
