Staff Security Analyst, GCP Security Response Operations
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. + 8 years of experience working with cyber security incident response processes, tools and engagements. Preferred qualifications: + 10 years of experience evaluating forensic reports of electronic media, packet capture, log data, malware triage, or enterprise-level information security operations. Google Cloud Security Engineering within the Cloud CISO organization is responsible for helping ensure every product Cloud ships is as secure as it can be and increasing the assurance levels of security in the infrastructure underlying all our products. This team will also focus on increasing the capabilities of each product team to develop more secure products by design and by default, from patterns, tools and frameworks to increasing the skill level of embedded security leads. As a Staff Security Analyst in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Security Response Operations team, you will help to ensure that our software and systems are designed and implemented to the highest security standards. You will perform technical security assessments, code reviews and vulnerability testing to highlight risk, helping Google teams and partners to improve security, and work on a wide variety of software designs and technology stacks. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $167,000-$247,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google (https://careers.google.com/benefits/) . + Conduct in-depth investigations of Cloud security and privacy incidents, analyzing data to evaluate risk and impact, and communicate findings with relevant stakeholders. + Manage multiple cross-functional projects and escalations with competing priorities, ensuring alignment between Cloud and central processes. + Act as a subject matter expert across various security domains, understanding how threats interact between different systems and services. + Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders throughout Google, including legal, engineering, and communications departments. + Investigate the impact of incidents on Google Cloud customers to determine the necessity of new detection mechanisms or compromise notifications.
