Staff Quality Performance Engineer

We are the IT operations management (ITOM) quality performance engineering team. We work on all the management and strategic approach to planning, building, and operating digital services, technology, components, and application requirements in organizations. We are seeking an energetic, motivated, and experienced Staff Performance Quality Engineer with strong knowledge of Quality Engineering and Performance Testing methodologies and tools. In this role, you should have a passion for quality and will work closely with developers, product managers, and quality engineers as part of a world class engineering organization on performance test strategies, frameworks, and tests development, executions, and metrics reporting. This is a fast-paced, impactful role to help ensuring we build the most advanced and robust solutions in the industry and deliver outstanding experience for our customers. **What you get in this role:** + Design performance testing frameworks to ensure system reliability, capacity, and scalability. + Collaborate with Product, DEV, and QE teams to develop performance testing strategies, create, and execute automated and manual performance tests based on project requirements using modern performance testing frameworks and tools. + Automate performance testing of RESTful Web Services and integrate test automation with automated build and continuous integration process. + Generate comprehensive performance test plans, cases, scripts, and standardized reports. + Investigate performance degradations, report issues in defect tracking system, and provide performance metrics to product teams and QE Management as appropriate. + Provide subject matter expert knowledge on software performance testing and tools, and act as a strong advocate for quality in the product development process. + Contribute to improving QE processes, work across organizational boundaries and exercise appropriate influence to ensure commitment to customers and product quality. **To be successful in this role you have:** + 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience. + 8+ years of Software Quality Engineering/Testing or Software Development in a performance testing capacity. + Candidates with hands-on experience in ML/AI field is highly preferred. + Combination of DEV/QE experience in AI technologies. + Ability to understand/articulate nuances of ML/AI testing. + Hands on experience in defining and implementing performance test strategies, test frameworks, and test automation for backend systems. + Hands on experience with performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter, BlazeMeter, and AppDynamics. + Hands on experience working with automated testing frameworks including Java, JUnit, Selenium, TestNG, and other open-source projects. + Experience with scripting language such as JavaScript/Python/Ruby/shell script in a Linux environment. + Experience with SQL databases, data abstraction layers and object-oriented data architecture, to construct queries, analyze schema and records. + Working knowledge of continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins. + Strong understanding of SDLC and CI/CD concepts. + Experience with agile methodology for software development teams. + Experience with driving root cause analysis investigations and postmortems for defects and regressions. + Exceptional debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills. + Proven ability to drive cross-team technical discussions and decision making. + Strong aptitude and helpful attitude in providing excellent support to cross-functional organizations. For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $163,600 - $286,300, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs.
