Position: Staff Quality Engineer
Job Location: 10500 NE 8th Street (13th floor), Bellevue, WA 98004
Duties: Drive and develop the Diamond Quality Assurance Program by partnering with developers, data scientists, product, engineering, store operations, and legal teams to create an industry leading quality framework. Build Project Diamond’s end to end Quality Platform from the ground up. Design, develop, set up, and release large scale enterprise testing tools for each platform (i.e. mobile, backend, portals, and data engineering). Develop and implement testing efforts, including testing strategy, resourcing, timelines, and logging. Develop inspection and reporting methods to analyze product, hardware, and software quality. Work closely with product management and development to identify and document automated, manual, functional, and non-functional test cases that will need to be executed during all stages of the SDLC. Log application defects, support debugging efforts, and retest defect corrective actions. Perform system-level regression testing to identify defects and report on testing results. Analyze technical requirements and create written test cases. Develop test cases for automation for UI, API, and App functionality. Prepare quality reports and system documentation. Collaborate among cross-functional teams on end-to-end testing and process improvements. Ensure products adhere to company, security, and industry quality standards. Independently troubleshoot business, development, and production issues. Brainstorm ideas to create solutions for identified problems. Document results and findings after inspections are carried out. Implement processes to ensure conformity and accuracy in the production process.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology or related field and 6 years of experience in quality engineering or related field; OR Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology or related field and 3 years of experience in quality engineering or related field.
Skills required: Experience developing test automation framework using Java and Selenium WebDriver. Experience testing REST and SOAP API Web services using Java libraries including Jersey, http Apache client, and Rest Assured. Experience performing database validations using complex SQL queries to test Relational Database Management Systems including Microsoft SQL Server and JDBC and NoSQL database Cassandra. Experience with performance testing of Restful APIs using JMeter and LoadRunner. Experience using Apache Airflow for Big Data streaming and ETL testing. Experience using Circle CI, Jenkins, and Docker to perform Continuous Integration-Continuous Deployment. Experience using JavaScript for UI automation. Experience establishing code coverage standards for UI and API automation tests. Experience using Scala and Spark SQL to test data lake, delta lake, and delta tables. Experience monitoring the Full Stack End to End testing process of data flow through Kafka. Experience using Postman and SOAP UI. Experience performing quality assurance of web applications. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $152,443/year to $264,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
