Staff Product Designer, New Bets
About the Team

At DoorDash, our customers are at the center of our product strategy and we believe that an amazing customer experience is the key to our success. The Consumer team designs the mobile apps and website that millions of customers use every day to order meals and more from their favorite local merchants.

Within the Consumer team, the New Bets group envisions different ways to enjoy the convenience of DoorDash beyond ASAP delivery, such as DoorDash for Business, Dining Out, meal boxes, gifting, and more.  If you are passionate about building new use cases and driving 0>1 opportunities, this role is for you!

About the Role

We're seeking an ambitious and visionary Staff Product Designer to lead DoorDash for Business, a strategic area at the heart of redefining workplace dining and company perks. You’ll craft transformative experiences—from seamless team lunch orders and large-scale catering solutions to innovative company-paid meals and grocery perks. This role presents a unique opportunity to pioneer new offerings in an evolving market, driving both creative vision and systemic thinking to unlock substantial business impact and delight countless professionals in their daily routines.

This position is open for candidates in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City, and will report to the Head of New Bets Design within our Consumer organization. You will work in a hybrid model, working from one of our offices 1-2 times a week with the rest working from home.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Contribute directly to DoorDash's consumer product strategy and define the future of our service. Explore complex, ambiguous problem spaces, working with your team to understand the opportunity, and then chart a path forward. Explore and refine your design solutions through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual design. Influence your team's approach to product development, shaping the team's culture, processes, and practices. Improve the lives of millions of DoorDash customers every day. We're excited about you because…  You are a staff level designer with 8+ years of work experience and a strong consumer experience portfolio across mobile and web. You not only meet but raise a high bar for craft at scale. You excel in complex problem spaces, and bring clarity to your teams through your mastery of the design process. You are a facilitator who collaborates across lots of different functions. You’re a systems-thinker who translates complexity into intuitive experiences and considers every facet of the user journey. You balance strategy, research, interaction design, and visual design to achieve simple, elegant solutions. A track record of leading 0>1 initiatives is a big plus.
