About the RoleAs a staff product designer on the Loyalty & CRM team, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of the consumer experience by helping customers save more and build loyalty with their favorite merchants in-store, online, and across DoorDash. This role takes a customer-first approach to providing best-in-class experiences while ensuring Merchants can operate a low friction, positive ROI business that deepens their relationships with their customers over time. You will work with a diverse team of product managers, developers, researchers, content strategists and more across the Consumer and Merchant organizations to deliver great results.
We are still in an early stage, which means you'll have opportunities to shape our culture and process from the ground up, and work on big, meaningful design problems. Your success requires being able to navigate low- and high-altitude work simultaneously, balancing short-term tactical experiments with longer-term strategic bets that will deliver transformational change for this product space.
You'll report to our Director of Design, Restaurant Services in our Product Design org. This role is hybrid, working 1-2 days a week onsite (from our SF, NYC, or Seattle offices) and the rest working from home.

Own the user experience of products end-to-end, including contributing to product strategy, running design sprints, and crafting visions Work on complex, ambiguous problem spaces, working with your team to understand the opportunity, and then chart a path forward. Work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and other disciplines to build and ship your designs Deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities Create, collaborate, and refine flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals We're excited about you because… You have 7+ years of work experience and a portfolio showcasing your ability to maintain a high bar for craft at scale. You have experience leading new initiatives and may have prior experience with Loyalty programs or CRM tools for businesses. You think of yourself as a craftsperson pushing the envelope on quality, usually find yourself sweating over the lowest level of details and deeply care about elevating the overall experience. You see yourself as a 0-1 designer who specializes in validating market fit for brand-new products. You can propose creative concepts and seamlessly transition to alternative plans. You are passionate about driving product strategy and vision for new product areas You skilfully balance strategy, research, interaction design, and visual design to achieve simple and elegant solutions You excel at storytelling and convey complex topics clearly and thoroughly to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
