Northrop Grumman is seeking a qualified and experienced Staff Planning Analyst Engineer to join Tactical Fighters Business Unit. Candidate should have a very strong knowledge in integration and test, manufacturing, SAP and troubleshooting. The position is responsible for coordinating with engineering and operations teams to meet program and integration test schedules. This position will work within a team environment consisting of program management, technical, production and supporting staff. The ideal candidate will have strong teambuilding skills and exhibit comprehensive verbal and written communication/presentation skills. This position would be based in Baltimore, MD, which requires being onsite, and does not support remote or hybrid work.
The selected candidates will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The selected candidates are expected to be technically savvy, self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of complex radar systems and test sets, including diagnostics and repair of Primary Mission Equipment (PME) and test benches.
Inspect, maintain and clean fiber optic interfaces as needed; mate fiber optic interfaces between subassemblies and perform necessary testing to ensure functionality.
Perform regression/endurance testing on system test benches as needed; document testing results using the bench logs.
Serve as liaison between union technicians and supported program. When necessary, perform cable terminations, oversee cable/waveguide installations and other labs-based infrastructure needs across the operational unit.
Serve as technical advisor to the lab manager; provide suggestions for lab-based technical solutions and assist with implementation.
Collaborate with logistics team for the procurement of tooling, equipment and consumables related to system benches and PME.
Support system deliveries to customer sites; perform installations, diagnostics and maintenance as required.
Create QNs for systems and subassemblies as required; collaborate with supporting teams to incorporate and finalize their implementation.
Document issues discovered during test and integration; ensure resolution using SAP system as primary documentation.
This position is contingent upon an active DoD Top Secret clearance with Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 10 years of experience or a PhD with 8 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
U.S Citizenship is required.
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance is required.
8 years of experience with radar system support and development.
Expertise in the areas of the Common Radar Module (CRM) standard, Receive/Exciter, Processor, Ground Based Radars, manufacturing, operations and systems engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise with integration and test as well as reliability and endurance testing.
Experience in maintaining complex mechanical and electrical systems and sub-systems.
Experience collaborating with multiple engineering specialties and stakeholders across multiple teams and suppliers.
Current Fiber Optics Examination and Cleaning certification.
Current scissor lift/elevated platform certification.
15+ years of experience with logistics including the knowledge of hardware assembling, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, field support and training.
Strong collaboration skills with experience working across BUs, divisions, and sectors as well as strong communication skills.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Salary Range: $148,400.00 - $222,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
