Family Pharmacy @ Las Colinas staff pharmacist fulfills a vital role in direct patient care and community engagement. This position involves counseling patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions; performing medication therapy management (MTM) to optimize patient outcomes; and maintaining thorough pharmaceutical records. The pharmacist oversees prescription processing, ensures the accuracy of medication dispensing, and manages inventory control for both prescription and over-the-counter products. They may also coordinate immunization clinics, provide health screenings, and participate in local public health initiatives. As the primary point of contact for patients, the independent pharmacy staff pharmacist builds enduring relationships, fosters trust, and advocates for patient health and safety within the community. The staff pharmacist will serve as a subject matter expert and will collaborate across teams to improve operational efficiency and patient safety. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Operational Execution & Compliance 

Perform dispensing of medications, vaccine administration and consultative services in accordance with current Federal and State regulations and internal protocols. 

Monitor all required tasks related to inventory management to ensure compliance and safety. 

Documentation & Quality Assurance 

Maintain accurate records of pharmaceutical activities, including labeling, inventory, and audit documentation. 

Participate in quality assurance initiatives and assist in preparing for regulatory inspections. 

Process Improvement & Technical Expertise 

Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of SOPs. 

Serve as a technical resource for pharmacy technicians. 

Assist in implementing new technologies or systems to enhance operational workflows. 

Drive patient engagement initiatives to expand the pharmacy’s customer base and strengthen community ties. 

Collaborate with marketing teams to develop outreach programs and health awareness campaigns. 

Actively solicit feedback from patients and stakeholders to inform service enhancements and support sustained business growth. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

Work closely with clinical, regulatory, and operations teams to support integrated pharmacy services. 

Provide input on operational challenges and contribute to cross-functional problem-solving efforts. 

 

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or related field; PharmD preferred. 

License/Certification

Texas Pharmacist License 

Current BCLS certification 

Immunization Certification 

Critical Skills

Minimum 2 years of professional experience in pharmacy operations. 

Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations and pharmaceutical best practices. 

Strong customer service skills. 

Demonstrates exceptional problem-solving abilities. 

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$116,900 - $194,900
